First of all, welcome to PROnetWorks. Please take the time to browse all of our great areas. You say you're running Windows ME. If you're hardware is at about the Windows ME level, then it may or may not run Longhorn. As far as, messing up your computer, anytime you're running an Alpha level operating system, there is always that chance. What programs work? Check out this thread.

you donīt go have problems instaling Longhorn with Me, you just need a partition - about 4, 5 Gb and is better NTFS. thumbsup

if you a medium hardware it is work, but is recomended you see the tweaking guides of this forum. dgi

some software is "incompatibility"(i am portuguese) with longhorn like antivirus and other programs who need the system

notworthy

Well for starters have you tried XP if you are looking for an OS to use as your priomary you probably don't want to use Longhorn. As far as if it will mess up your computer, who knows, but depending opn your specs it may not give you the desired result.

Longhorn is its own independent os, as long as you install lh in another partition it will not effect your other operating systems. Most programs will work under compatibility mode, except for a few programs including anti virus.
