The nearest you'll get to any tweaking is by checking out our tips and tweaks on LH in this area of the forum. As for revamping the UI ...well that's a different story. |
Right Mac, it happened with XP too.
Build 2250- The new UI was introduced. I forgot what it was called but what the heck. This was little different from Windows 2000. This had the swiching users thing that was ripped from Mac OS 8, the shutdown was different and the control panel menu was different (er.. the graphics).
Build 2257- This is where the new start menu was introduced
Beta 1- The UI for the start menu looked a bit better
Build 2410- Some major UI changes. The "rover" help search feature and the CD-R burning feature
Beta 2- This is where the new Luna XP was introduced.
As you can see XP's new UI wasn't introduced until Beta 2. Hope that doesn't become the case with Longhorn..
Take a look at this German site:http://www.wxperience.de/wsa_index.php
it has track records of ALL XP Alphas and betas. And longhorn as well.
Its a gallery page. ITs pretty cool. Check it out
