If the answer to this question is readily available, my apologies for missing it.
Can v. 3.2 be installed over the top of v. 3.1? or is it advisable to uninstall v. 3.1 before installing v. 3.2?

No. All versions of VBP can be installed side by side. There is no need to uninstall 3.1 in order to install 3.2. However, when updates are available then there may be a possibility to uninstall that version. For instance, if we did a 3.2 refresh then that would mean that you would have to uninstall 3.2 before installing the 3.2 refresh. But we have only done this once so it is not a common thing.
