I caught like five minutes of it but I stopped because I think that I am going to borrow the first season from a friend. At least I think that he has the first season.

The first 4 episodes (Sunday and Monday night) are out on DVD today. smilenod

What did you folks think of Scott?

Scott...which character was that? The son?

I'm still awstruck by the explosion.

And Gries you don't really need to know anything between seasons except:

-Jack was in a Chinese Prison for 20 months
-Jacks daughter Kim always comes back to cause a problem.
-Jacks ex gf Audrey does the same
-The current president is the brother of a former president whom Jack dealt with many times and held a close relationship too.
-Returning characters have a tendency to die off, except for Jack.

Scott was the kid being held hostage by Ahmed who almost got killed until Jack busted in and saved him and he was the one who knew the address where the bomb was. tongue

(He's a good friend of mine. I'm actually flying out to the Sundance Film Festival in 2 days to see him and the world premiere of one of his films.)

Maybe we should tune back into this. We watched Season 1 and 2 to back about two years ago... got tired of it and never watched season 3. My wife couldn't stand Kim anymore, LOL. How many times did she get kidnapped the second season?

Maybe on a week to week basis it'll be better... some shows always are. Jack just has the whole Chuck Norris thing going on, it's hard to get past. He's so d*mn serious.

Evolution isn't real, there's only a list of creatures Jack Bower has allowed to live.

Most of the pundits, critics, and viewers of past years had been saying that this year would be the best ever. After the shows aired, all were in agreement. Many were shocked. Even naysayers are saying yes, this is going to be an amazing season.

And the numbers bear it out.

Sunday night, "24" averaged 15.7 million viewers and a 6.1 rating/14 share in adults 18-49, Nielsen Media Research said.

The first hour of "24" averaged 15.1 million viewers and a 5.8/13 in adults 18-49. It rose steadily after the NFL playoff game ended at 8:20 p.m. ET, scoring 16.2 million viewers and a 6.3/14 in the demo between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The second hour was the highest-rated hour for the show since the Jan. 16, 2006, premiere and was up 5% compared with last year's 15.5 million viewers.

Despite the Golden Globes, Monday's two-hour "24" averaged 15.7 million viewers and a 5.9/13 in adults 18-49. That was about even with Sunday night's 15.7 million viewers and 6.1/14 and higher than the night-to-night retention of last year's two-night premiere. It also improved on last year's Monday night premiere, which averaged 14.9 million viewers.

Yeah thats an unfortunate draw back of 24. It can get old, but the effort that is put in by the cast is phenomenal as they film all in one fell swoop. Plus the athleticism of Keifer Sutherland is beyond comprehension. He's also a great actor in general IMO. His role in A few Good men, though small, was simply amazing.

This season is definitely already shaping up to be the best yet. The events already unfolded in the first 4 hours are the most extreme yet and make me anxious to know where it all leads and how it all ends.

Oh it definitely keeps your attention, no argument there. I also like his role in a Few Good Men (good movie).

If we can make time for it, we'll tune in to this again and see how we like it smile

Cool!!! Watch for the kid named Scott. he's a good friend of mine. I'm going to Sundance for a world premiere of one of his films and I'll see him on Friday.
