I'm glad you all got to watch the keynote live! There really wasn't anything "new" in it that our group hadn't seen over the weekend, though, as you know from reading the blog. Several times I talked about confidential material, "under NDA," or "under wraps." Those features are the ones which were shown in the keynote. We had a few sessions which covered them more in depth. In fact, we actually got to play with the DreamScape. It's pretty cool. We had a LOT of discussion about it. Most of us agreed that the full motion videos will become tiresome, unless it's a clip of your children or something like that. We all agreed that the ones we found most appealing are the ones with slight, slow movement. We all oohhed and aahhed at the waterfall when we first saw it. There was even some applause. But my favorite was simply the Aurora slightly animated. That is one I could get used to. Of course, many of us, myself included, never see our desktops anyway because we always have our browsers up.

During our sessions, there was only one feature which we were not shown because we were told it wasn't even guaranteed to come out any time soon. That was the Group Shot. That was the only part of Bill's keynote that was actually a surprise to those of us in the room, and we all liked it a lot. Otherwise, most of us were pretty unimpressed and disappointed.
