Grom...Terror in Tibet

It seems that World War II is the setting of choice for games at the moment. Following in the footsteps of Return To Castle Wolfenstien, Commandos II and Medal of Honor, Grom...Terror in Tibet is another that uses war for its setting. However, as the name suggests, you are fighting in Tibet rather than Europe.

In his bid for world domination, the Fuhrer is desperately trying to find the Lost City of King Arjuna because according to legend, the King had 12 miraculous weapons that are capable of destroying cities. You take the part of Colonel Grom and his companions as you try everything you can to stop the Nazis from laying there hands on the weapons. The game has more in common with Commandos 2, where you control several characters at one time (including a Yak) than the first-person action of Medal of Honor.

This won't suit everyone but if you like your action slow-paced, it's still fun. In the same way that Castle Wolfenstien ditched realism in favor of fighting with the undead and zombies, Grom...Terror in Tibet has you similarly fighting not only Nazi soldiers but demons, monsters and wizards as well.

The big plus about the game, though, is the graphics, which is really nicely done. All the characters are very individual and the scenery looks great. Gameplay is a little slow and it's not always obvious what you have to do but it is still enjoyable, although it wont appeal to everyone.

A WWII setting with added demons and monsters.
