Battlefield 1942: The Road To Rome


The Road To Rome is the first expansion pack to supplement EA's incredible first-person shooter, Battlefield 1942. Thankfully for us, the update is very much focused on multi-player gaming. It concentrates on their relatively unknown Italian and Sicilian campaigns of WWII.

Players can now choose from six new maps, with each offering the same detail that the original was famous for. One of 1942'S main selling points was the ability to control any number of vehicles and the Road To Rome improves on this by adding eight more. These include the British Mosquito and German BF-110 planes and an Italian torpedo boat.

The single-player mode has been designed with no pre-determined outcomes, so you won't ever get to play the same game twice. All in all, Road To Rome is a worthy addition.
