Just installed Vistabootpro 3.0 on Vista RC1 5728 but when launching it, I have an invalid OS message, saying that Vista is not currently installed : "In order to use this application, Vista must be installed =)

Any idea how this can happen ?

That's odd..... tell us a bit more on your system and how you installed VBPro3.0........... and did you previously have VBPro2.1 installed?

I'm the guy you helped yesterday with a messed up bcd.

I still have 3 Os installed : XP32, XP64 and Vista 5728.

I first uninstalled 2.1 and simply installed 3.0 afterwards. I get the same message running in as administrator.

Going to try and install it on XP64

I'll try to get some others on this issue - we have not had that occur during our testing, but stranger things have happened............ are you running all SATA or IDE drives, or a combo?

I have 2 IDE and 2 SATA drives. The 3 OS are on the SATA drives.

Works fine under XP64 (well, I get an error message at start up but clicking Continue works)

Hi rahan95, if you could help us out here and post a screenie of your disk management console showing your partition structure, and if VistaBootPRO is working in XP64 if you could copy and past the contents of the View Settings (ALL option), that will certainly help us narrow down this issue - thanks for helping out here!

Ok, running VBPro3.0 from x64 XP, could you give us the output for the bcdedit.exe /enum (Detailed info)

You do have at least one "Rogue" entry there; the one that has a GUID for the \NTLDR entry is bad, and may we ask what's on your "C: drive"? I see where you have your other OS's on the SATA drives, but it looks like you C: drive (IDE I presume?) is the "SYSTEM" drive

EDIT: Actually, almost ALL of your Legacy XP entries are bad; they should NOT have a GUID# and should say {ntldr}

One more thing, you said that the 3 OS's are on Sata Drives, could you specify which disks (ie: 0,1,2,3,4) are IDE and which are SATA
