Since yesterday my dialup connection at home is crawling. Has anyone else noticed slow down since the war began?

I have the backdoor website address for CNN.com that I used during 9/11 when all the news sites were slammed. Let me know if anyone needs it. oops

saw the profile awhile back. I check most of them for security reasons, I thought MAYBE you worked some part time modeling. I was giving you the benefit of a doubt, but now I think you were trying to get in good with the supposedly 24 year old female Indian model with the crush on SSG. true?? lol

LONDON/BEIJING, March 20 (Reuters) - Internet traffic surged on Thursday as Web users sought out news on the U.S.-led attacks on Iraq, others vented outrage on the war and still others sought tips to protect themselves.

Internet usage spiked two to three times higher than normal, according to spokesmen for major U.S. and Chinese Web sites, as the war got underway with bombing raids on Baghdad and Iraq responded with Scud missile attacks on positions in Kuwait.

War watchers in China turned heavily to the Internet for the latest news, as state-controlled television focused on responses to the war -- contrasting with coverage from gas-masking toting TV reporters in Kuwait that was a staple of Western TV coverage.

Although U.S. activity on the Internet picked up markedly after President George W Bush declared war had begun, there was no crush of Web traffic because many Americans were at home watching TV rather than at work in front of their computers.

"People are still watching the television and right now this is a visual thing," said Eric Siegel, a consultant for Keynote Systems, which measures audience traffic to Internet sites.

"As more information appears than they can get from the TV, people will turn to the Web."

Let's just say, I know a few ladies in the "glamour world" and they do not brag nor talk like that BUT there could be cultural differences and may my hands be smacked by mom if I am out of line and wrong. wink2
