I think you named a lot of good ones.

I also liked, The Green Mile, Matrix, Fight Club, Jurassic Park (first one), Star Wars, Contact, October Sky, and while I didn't like the overall movie, parts of the movie Mission to Mars I really enjoyed (at least the message of it). I also liked American Beauty... mostly because of it's psychological drama comedy.

I'd have to say, Apocalypse Now, Jurassic Park (first one), Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and anything with Robert DeNiro.

Because of my Italian connections and having been to Sicily about two dozen times, and frequenting Palermo, i've got to say the Godfather 1. i thought it was an absolutely brilliant film, and the house that the son stayed in when he was in exile in Sicily after the shooting, i have actually been in the grounds and the house. smilenod
