Need for Speed: Most Wanted works after installing it, although I had to copy the files to the hard drive to install it as it didn't want to work off of the dvd.

FINAL Progress Update:
Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition DVD:
You need to copy teh VS folder from teh DVD to teh HD, and then install...
MSDN instals fine from the DVD. VS *may* start fine, reach 99% then stop.
You can also copy to a network share and install from there.. just not from the dvd  |

Reget 4.2 installs fine, no issues, integrates perectly into IE7
The getright i test was 6.0 final and 6.0 pro beta 5
MSN Toolbar screws up IE7 on exit, but otherwise it is useable
Startup2Service Beta 1 installs and runs fine
CHMOD-Win 2.3 Installs and runs perfect.
WLM Update: There is a patch circulating around the net that disables the 'shared folders' link in my computer.. attempting to get my hands on it.

UPDATE MSN 8.0!!
Extracting MSN to a file, running the setup as administrator without compatibility mode, then running the exe in xp compatibility, it will repair the install, and you can use it. But My Computer will crash on open.
There is no fix.
I have howeer made a rar file with the exes ONLY, and it works to extract this on top of a msn messenger 7.5 install... only problem is sharing folders (8.0 feature) don't work.
Is it OK for me to link to the RAR? MSN Beta ONLY runs if your email addressed is verified for use, so it is useless to anyone not allowed to use it; to the extent that the download is publicly available off micrsoft's servers...
so anyway, yeah, i'm using it now.

Does Not Work:
Drivers for Envy24 Audio chipset: Neither the Vista Beta (Nvidia Forceware) drivers or the Legacy (Nvidia Forceware) drivers for the Envy24 (made by Via) audio chipset on my MB work. I have also tried the Via Envy24 drivers for XP straight from their support site. The device is listed in device manager and reports that it is functioning perfectly fine, except no sound, and Win Media player gives an error which says something about audio drivers not installed. BTW, it worked fine in Build 5231.
Zone Alarm Pro 6 installs (very slowly), but will NOT run.
Works but with limited functionality:
HP Printer Drivers (photosmart series) install but the Printer Preferences option does not work which limits printing function.

You would be better off looking for Server 2003 drivers, as Vista is based off server 2003
