I wanted to share with everyone a pic one of my baby Bro's sent me yesterday:

Subject: Awesome Sunset from NASA

A friend sent me this and it is spectacular. Thought you would enjoy a
"worldly view" of mother earth.

This satellite image is spectacular. It was sent from someone at NASA.
There may be some enhancement done on it and it probably is a composite. Nonetheless, what a shot!

This photo was taken via satellite, on a cloudless day. Note how the lights are already on in Holland, Paris, and Barcelona, and how it's still daylight in London, Lisbon, and Madrid. The sun is still shining on the Straight of Gibraltar, and the Mediterranean Ocean is already in darkness. In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean you can see the Azores Islands; below them to the right, the Madeira Islands; a bit below them the Canary Islands; further south, close to the furthest western point of Africa, the Cape Verde Islands. Note how the Sahara is huge and can be seen clearly both during daytime and nighttime. Morocco is quite green and the bright light is in SW Libya or SE Algeria. To the left, on top, is Greenland, totally frozen.

"CLICK HERE"...this is a very large pic...you really do need to use F11 to get the full impact... wink

An amazing shot! Definitively a keeper. The sun is just setting where I'm at, in the upper left corner.

***edit edit*** That should be upper right corner confused

"Here's another one baby brother just sent"...

This is an older one than someone sent back to me. Must have been time lapsed and connected on a very clear day/night. Notice the heavier populations along the coastal areas and major rivers like the Nile.

"F11"<---"Click"... cool

Thanks for that Michel. If you look at the map of the United Kingdom you will see The mountainous region to the North West in Scotland, that's where i stay, just at the start of the Western Highlands.
Fantastic picture. smilenod
