My top rants tonight:
1)I have stupid rash from eating chocolate, it should be illegal to be allergic to chocolate! I ate some yummy thin mint girl scout cookies and now I'm paying. The stuff they give me when this happens (Atarax) is making me tired too.
2)I'm tired of people on ebay who take your money but can't be bothered to post feedback for you.

Good for you Yaps...nothing to be gained by or from yelling and shouting...however a few colorful metaphors never hurt anyone...and that surely can make you feel better sometimes...

Deb, I hope the rash goes away... it's a shame about Chocolate like you said
And those "beep" (save the forum the trouble) on eBay tick me off too. I've had a ton of them who seem to be "to busy" to bother with me and my purchase or sale. Grrr

Ok it's my turn to rant!
3 years ago, while first learning how to use and program in Access, I set up a database that is actually quite complicated and very not-so-pretty (I was new to it, what can I say?)
BUT it's functional and it does what we need it to do here at work. I also set up a program that will formulate all costs and profit into our product so that we can put out an offering list.
Why is it that at LEAST once a month my boss questions the formula that calculates this figure. He comes up with the same (or VERY close) total that I do, just going a different route. But yet, he still has to question that it's working right. The funniest part about it is that he's not questioning the whole product offer list, he questions only one or two products. IT'S THE SAME FORMULA FOR EVERY PRODUCT!!!!! If one is right they all gotta be right! The only way one product could POSSIBLY be wrong is if he gave us the wrong starting figure that we input to compute the total. It's an almost foolproof application.
So, the reason I'm ranting today instead of every month, LOL, is that well now I had to P-R-O-V-E that it really does work the way he wants it too. Took me 2 and a half hours to figure out all of the different functions that I used wayyyyyyyyyyyy back when setting this up and how they work again (some of them are so obscure the Help section doesn't even find them). Then I had to figure out how to set the same formula using Excel functions, that he can understand, to come up with the same damned number that I came up with in Access and he comes up with on the calculater. AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHH!

I'm laughing Trish, but you should know that all bosses are hopeless, and that's why they get you to do the work. If you asked him to set it up he would not know where to start.
lol
