As of November 03, 2004.
Updated April 03, 2007.
Updated April 20, 2008.
Due to some problems in the debates area over the last few months, we're going to have to clamp down a bit on what is and what is not an appropriate topic in this area.
Clearly, in today's world, there are a lot of issues which are up for debate.
However, due to many diverse opinions, feelings, and strong emotions on some of those subjects, we would appreciate you not talking about those subjects, or bringing them up in this forum. Your help and patience is appreciated on this matter.
Below there is a list of topics that should be avoided or not discussed at all. Our staff will, exclusively, decide which topics are and which are not appropriate. These decisions will be made apart from personal judgment, and in the best interest of the site. These topics will be removed immediately, without any comment or notification to the user. I hereby grant permission to ANY moderating staff member to move a post they feel violates the following recommendations.
DISALLOWED TOPICS & SUBJECTS TO AVOID
These rules do not apply to news posts. News posts that involve these topics should be discussed here and ONLY here after they are posted.
NO topics on gay marriage (or keep it civil at the least)
NO topics on abortion
Avoid Religion (Don't trash others beliefs or non-beliefs)
Avoid topics on drugs and/or use of such substances
Avoid topics on weapons, especially gun or gun control
If you have another topic you feel is appropriate, please let us know.
Thanks

This list is scheduled to be updated in light of recent happenings since 2004. We've gotten rather slack in this forum lately, and it seems it's best to start cracking down again.
Lately a flood of new topics and issues has crossed our boards, and PROnetworks does not want now or ever to be a debates forum. We are a technology forum and we want to maintain our family friendly atmosphere.
Older Posts & New Posts will be removed from this area that are deemed inappropriate, pending the release of the new guidelines.
Thanks

This area has been updated.
Notable Changes
-Many issues are now allowed again for discussion. However, if it becomes an issue (users flaming each other) we will ban certain topics again.
-Staff are NOT permitted at any time to debate ANY issue. Staff may ONLY moderate the forums.

The rules have been updated so that anyone, including staff may post new topics and comments. This is in line with what has become practice in this area.
