I thought that it woulld be nice to compile a list of weather sites from around the world so that we can see what the weather is like almost anywhere.

Here are some to start:

The National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), USA
Bureau of Meteorology (BOM), Australia
WeatherMatrix, World Wide
The Weather Channel, International
U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), USA
Hellenic National Meteorological Service , Athens , Hellas

Feel free to post more and I'll add them to the list. Please post them in the format shown (see links about for example):
Full name of site (Abbreviated name), Country

Enjoy smile

It does cover hurricanes and stuff.

"Welcome to the U.S. Geological Survey
Federal source for science about the Earth, its natural and
living resources, natural hazards, and the environment."

P.S. They own some of those weather satellites.

LOL, yes this is a list partially given to us for my current class. It's pretty useful though when you have specific info. The Hurricane and Long Range Model stuff is the coolest, so I'll try and have it up as soon as possible. Here's one of my favorite long term models... just look at the dates wink

Hit the 12 Hour Precip GIF link (second column from the top, third column from the right on that row)
