It was dying down anyway. His film has fallen big time now at the box office. His 15 minutes are about up.

I saw where it was #5 at the box office and sales were way down about 6 million from #4. I wouldn't pay to see it, have no desire

I won't even rent it, don't have time to waste on it. More valuable things to do and see.

Anchormen Acknowledge 'Fahrenheit' Fiction
Members of the elite media gathered on the Left Coast recently to discuss the state of their profession.
Instead of chewing the industry fat, media folks were more interested in swapping opinions on Michael Moore's fraudulent film "Fahrenheit 9/11."
George Stephanopoulos noted that he had spoken with individuals who had gone to see Moore's flick and had asked them why. The answer he received was "because we wanted to get the facts."
A few of Stephanopoulos' high-profile peers had intriguing takes on the "facts."
Ted Koppel evidently enjoyed the movie but had problems with Moore's accuracy, or lack thereof. Koppel described the film as "a terrific piece of entertainment" that had some "interesting facts in it." But: "It is to the documentary what the [Oliver Stone] 'JFK' film was to history."
The soon-to-be-retiring Tom Brokaw, hitting Moore's film even harder, commented that it "took a lot of liberties, not just with the facts but with how you arrange the facts."
The Left Coast Report says using the term "facts" in the same sentence as Michael Moore is like using the word "bubbly" to describe Ted Koppel.

There was one story in the paper last week(can't find a link) that was from an extremely liberal columnist. He had seen it...and recommended it to others. Not because it was so good..but because it was so unbelievable! And he said that when you go to see it...buy a ticket for another movie(he paid to see Shrek II) and then go into the MM movie. That way you can see what the uproar is all about...and NOT give MM any more money!!

i heard michael moore distributed it himself... i know it sounds crazy at first, but think about it.. their are DVDS with sub captions of F911 out there, and he said that he was pissed off about the rated R crap 9dont get me started), and he said hed help sneak kids in!!!
he made money and broke records, the hubub died down, and he released it... sounds logical to me....
it was a pretty good documentary.. mind u, im not commenting on the content, but on the quaality

i don't think anyone would dispute that he is a talented editor and can definitely tell a story through the film medium. I think most people that are open minded enough to look at his body of work objectively and do some research they will quickly realize that he is an entertainer and not a historical documentarian at all.
That being said i really don't care for his content but it is a free country and he has every right to say as he likes.
Nice post RR, i also got a kick out of the review from Slate.com that i dug up. Not exactly a conservative source at all. Any liberal who is HONEST slams Moore for his total lack of historical fact despite how MM would protray himself and his body of work.

hey Computer Guru, dont even go using that path with johnliscomb, EVERYone did!
first he well say Moore is but a movie producer who is a fat ugly tyrant .
then if you disagree your are considered not a open minded person and a ignorant.
