I've been trying to get the wifes machine to use the HP 952c and I can see it in network but the files always fail when installing. The HP is Hooked USB to mine.All my other PC's running ME see and print fine. Any Thoughts? Thanks Nick

Make sure you have Microsoft Windows Logon or whatever enabled (file and print sharing) Make sure you printer is able to be networked Do you have one of your computers as a print server? (make sure its functioning properly..test the cables to the printer to the xp machine if the printer is a network printer) unf.. *thinks* try pinging from the xp machine to the print server..(firstly..) try pinging from the print server to the xp machine. If you can, run a ping program that shows you all computers that ping hits/gos through. Ciao -Adam

Hi Adam, Here is my setup. I have 5 computers on my network. Mine is the PC the printer is plugged into via USB to serve the network. All my PC's are connected through a hub where they have internet and through a Router/modem with DSL. My pc has XP which prints. 2nd is my Laptop with Bual Boot ME/XP both OS's Print fine. 3rd & 4th are The Kids running ME and print fine when I added the additional ME drivers to my system. 5th is my wife running XP and that is the dog. I can see the printer shared and when trying to install it says my PC has the wrong drivers installed, tries to correct but fails. I removed all drivers and printers from all PC's before I re-installed them. (had the printer for a year. I have File and printer sharing enabled and no firewalls running except on the router which is only internet anyway. All XP versions are Home edition. Thanks Nick
