What ever happened to standardising the web? By using different fonts there are many users whom have disabled their downloading of new character sets due to panic about virii which makes those sites unreadable.

Why not use a standard font?

You can get around that by using the cool fonts in images like titles ect and then use standard fonts for the body. Kinda like what I am doing at www.hawaiianstyleband.com

Hi,
in my experience, fonts for websites are always a grey area. I normally use flash text, as this ensures that the end-user see the text as you want then to. When using standard text, the end-users computer determines how it is displayed.

Just have to be careful with flash file sizes etc.

Thanks,
John.

Just to throw this in: I guess you guys all know about this or similar utilities, but for anyone who hates the fact that you have all these fonts listed on your pc but you have no way of knowing what they look like until you apply them -- this free little item scans your pc for every installed font and then presents a list of all the fonts with examples of how they would appear in various sizes. It is effortless. It is called Font Lister, from
