It would be nice to play my new G-Force 5700 Ultra 128MB card on this machine for Doom3. I had problems with the new card but I was able to get it to work with Radeon 9600 with cfg script. wink

Thanks buddy

I prefer GeForce cards, because they are always reliable, way overclockable, and support everything that ATI cards support and a little more like Stereo 3D drivers built in, (with the new beta driver i posted) and all sorts of cool demos and junk, probably like the ati cards, but i've always liked Nvidia, except when they killed 3dfx, but oh well, can't always have what we originally liked...... lol

I have always been a fan of Nvidia and the GeForce line as well. Have never purchased an ATI card in my life. However I am seriously thinking about purchasing an ATI for my next rig if Nvidia doesn't increase the performance of their cards. Whether the performance increase comes in terms of hardware gains or paying developers to make more use of their API's and CineFX I don't care. The bottom line is that the top of the line GeForce FX pales in comparison to the top of the line ( and mid-range ) ATI cards. Turn on anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering and the gap increases by an unbelievable amount.

You sound like you are familiar with GPU's and the market... Can you tell my why Nvidia's GeForce line has gone down the toilet and ATI Radeon's are ruling the day?

I love my radeon 9600se, ATI's biggest problem right now is it's software, I still can't get my ati tv tuner to work right yet.
