Hello everyone and a good morning to you all, I am running Winxp pro 512 Megs ram 40gig Primary HD and a secondary 80gig. I am trying (unsuccessfully) to make a setup disk for Longhorn 4051 using Nero Ultra 6.0. I have created another 5gig NTFS Partition on C: drive (hidden, active & set to primary)

Here is what I have done so far, I have tried making it an ISO CD- it will not read.

Tried to make a bootable cd (it read the boot part fine) then said there was NO operating system on the CD-ROM. I copied ALL the files I D/l'd from here onto/into Nero. I am TOTALLY hmmm stumped at this point.

ALL help appreciated (I WILL be asking more ?'s later thumbsup )

if you downloaded a bootable iso then you can just use nero to run the iso by going to the properties of the iso. And you will have a bootable installation cd in no time.

If it's a bootable ISO just use something like Alcohol and burn it to a CD and it will auto mount the boot image.

I am always amazed at how peps want to make things complicated.

Ok Tw34k I will explain in more detail how this works. First go to the properties of the longhorn iso. Then go to general under other properties. Click the bottun change on the right of open with. Then select you burning software (perferably nero) in the screen that pops up and click ok. You can use browse if your buring software is not listed. After you shoose your buring software to open the iso, double click the iso to open it and you burning software will start, and all you have to do is click burn and you will have a bootable cd if the iso was bootable.
