hi,
i'm using LH4051 and works good. But now when i reboot my explorer can't come, the system stays with the wallpaper and do nothing.
i do no what can i do.
helps please. confused

hi funkycop,

Can you be more specific and tell us when this problem arose.I mean, did you change any network settings or did you install any software.Also please see whether you can boot to safe mode.What AV are you using?

ok, i'm using NOD32 Antivirus (the only AV working with LH4051 that i have found), then i reboot 2 or 3 times without any problemes. I didn't change anything in my network. Just one thing, i have installed wndowsbilnd 4 (to change destkop apperence).
So i can go to safemode then i uninstall windowsblinds , i reboot , and nothind my explorer doesn't want to come . i know that in taskmanager i can run it, but anything can be use.

This is a typical problem with Longhorn 4051.The explorer hangs for several minutes and you can't do anything.It is in alpha stage so lots of changes to come in future versions.Hope it will be get fixed in next version.

Go to the safe and create a new account and log on using that account.See whether that helps.

I would just try uninstalling it and reinstalling it without using windowblinds, cuz i'm not sure since it is Alpha that it knows exactly what windowblinds is, lol, but still I also have that problem with it hanging while starting up and shutting down, but i just go off and nuke a bag of popcorn or something. smile
