Hi Maver,
Boot into safe mode.Click Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Local Security Policy.
Expand Local Policies and select Security Options .On the right hand side you have the security policy settings.Look for the entry named
Interactive Logon:Do not require Ctrl+Alt+Del
Double click on it,select Enabled and press apply.
Now reboot to Longhorn in normal mode. This time you will not be required to press ctrl+alt+del.
Hope this helps you.If you want to log in to your account automatically I can help you with it too.Just let me know.

No problem.Boot to safe mode.Open the registry editor and go to the following key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
On the right pane you have to look for 3 registry keys
DefaultUserName
DefaultPassword
AutoAdminLogon
If you do not find any of these create one.Right click on the empty space below the last key, select New>String Value and rename it as the wanted key.
Now enter the values for DefaultUserName and DefaultPassword(double click on key to edit) and enter 1 as the value for AutoAdminLogon.Reboot now.
Hopefully this should solve the problem.

well it didn't. well kinda did
after putting in all the stuff it didn't auto log on but it atleast let me use ctrl alt del agian. i found the real answer to fix it. i was making anthor low level user acount cuzz none of my other comps can get online (long story located in the MS fourm) so my faimly can get on. but when i tried it wouldn't let me senice i didn't have any admin name yet but i was using one right then!
anyway i made an admin one then made a user one and when i went to sign back i didn't see my old admin name just the new one and the user when i went into my new admin name log on was really fast faster then xp log on. so was the user log off was fast too. i think this is something everyone needs to do to there LH build its probly one of the fixes people need to do. i know i atleast needed to do it. well thats all for now.
