Hi Every One: I use XP-pro,worked fine for the past 4 months,sometimes after xmas,it shut the whole computer down,then restart,to disc scan,than reports to MS,than continues on like nothing happened,but now it happens more often like 2>3 times a week.anybody got any ideas.Thanks

I don't know about that ... :smile: I have RC2 on one of my machines right now. It hasn't expired yet.

LOL! I dont know, but it is supposed to "expire" after new years. Make sure you dont have a crack or something going. Sometimes when you download the devils own version, it has a crsck built in. Check that. I think that he just needs to buy XP, sooner or later...... Josh

Well, I too have (amongst others) a Beta Version still running. And I know it's not cracked: it just plain never asks for activation. And it's been running for several months now.

You could have a bad power supply. I recently installed 43 NT 4 machines and had to replace 5 power supplies that were doing the same thing, turning the computer off and on.

Yes, i have the exact same problem. After a few minutes or even seconds. Right in the middle of a task. I thought it had to do with power, also, but when i enhanced the voltage, it still had no effect.
