I just cannot bear to listen to rap, but i have a wide variety of musical tastes from Classic to rock, but my Favorite is definately rock. For the younger ones here, it doesn't mean that because you get older you don't keep up with musical trends. Ask Bob and he no doubt will agree with me. I love all the new stuff out just now, and i always keep up with musical trends. I have a large collection of music dating back to the fifties to the present day, and i am always making up CDs for use in my car. I love my music. smilenod

I too Love my music. And I love all kinds. When I was in college, I was in my hip-hop phase. But I have always kept a strong ear for ROCK. I mean ROCK. Not this rip-off/icantmakemyownsound stuff you here all around today. As a kid, it was southern and classic rock. I am a big fan of Charlie Daniels, Skynyrd, Doors, Dead, Tull, Elton (old, as in madman cd), Clapton, The Who, Cream, CCR, and the like. I am also very partial to my 80's rock, (i.e. GNR, Crue, Metallica old, Def Lep, and Twisted Sister) and ofcourse the bands that should have came out in 80's (i.e. Candlebox).

Beleive it or not, over the past 4 or 5 years, I have become very partial to country. You may jest, but I love it. I used to be one of them people who say 'I hate country.' But what many people refuse to admit is, country of today is not the redneck/wannasleepwithmycousin type country. Most people who dislike country, never even give it a shot. I never did. I dated a gal for 2 1/2 years who was HUGE country fan. She made me listen all the time, and I was ticked. When she left me for her roomate (a guy), I found myself listening to it as a reminder of her, and where i went wrong to drive her away. As time passed, I found that the only station I could keep on radio without having to change it all the time was the local country station. Yeah I listen to the rock stations, but 40% of the songs suck, and 95% of the crap on top 40 stations make me ill. So soon, the country station became the #1 song on my radio. Now I have been to 3 country concerts, 1 music fest with Toby Keith, and 2 of Tim Mcgraw's shows. One of which I got 10th row in boston for free on radio. I was literally 20ft from Faith Hill when she came on stage to sing with him.

Other than all that madness, my favorite band of all time is by far Pearl Jam. I just wish they would release an album that didnt SUCK. Eddie Vedder is a genius, and he should go back to making good music, not the crap they have done recently.

And John, I am also a HUGE Godsmack fan. Went and saw them with Bizkit. I used to love LB, and well, after that show, I realized Godsmack ROCKS.

Heres a little name Ill throw out there and see what you guys think of it....

Liquid Tension Experiment

Sorry to bore you all with my thoughts, but thats the beauty of this thread, I DONT CARE. whistle whistle

Has anyone bought the OutKast cd? It's definitely on my buy list and I buy very few.

I love the video for "Hey Ya".
