will linux and/or lindows work on any Pcs that rus windows, what i mean is can i swich from windows to linux?

You should be able to with no problems except for drivers. Here's a decent free resource tailored for beginners (like me).Shows you how-to right from the beginning.

In all honesty, I have never had a problem with the hardware compatibility. Then again, I have always stuck with brand name hardware. If you are running 3rd world hardware then your chances of running into issues is much greater.
