Hi all this is my first post here, I downloaded Longhorn (4015 4029) both started to install fine but at the reboot Longhorn would not recognize my CD Rom and just hung there . So i left it hang right there, took the CD out dragged all the files off the CD into a folder, just called it XP and burned the files with XP,s boot file and called the CD the same as XP,s CD ( WXPCORP_EN ) burned it and dropped it into the CD Ram ( I have two pc,s ) and rebooted and Longhorn recognized my CD Ram and installed without a hitch.

I’m kind of new to Alpha’s and Beta’s but a few things seemed to work well for me , first off my hard drive I have petitioned into four P: (Pagefile) is first C: Windows XP Pro D: Longhorn E: Storage . For both XP Pro and Longhorn I use the same partition P: for both there pagefile,s , works well saves space.

Also to save formatting every other day , I have Drive Image on C: Drive and as soon as I installed Longhorn i made a Image file of D: Drive , so if I run into problems I just run the image file and everything is back to the way it was before I totally wrecked it.

Anyway I thought id share a few things that worked for me, and drop in and say hi.
