I mean COMPLETELY turned off. I have all the switches in the c-panel turned off but it still pops up if I hold a key down for so long. The only time I hold a key down that long is when i want that little window to pop up the least... in the middle of a game (argh). Anyway if any of you guru's know how to cripple that little wheelchair, oreferrably uninstall it altogether I'll buy you a beer! Thanks for the brain cells in advance! Indogo

Wow, that' kinda cool... That got the cp up, which works from the control panel. That's all fine, but I see no way to uninstall the whole thing. Thanks for the cool new way of looking at things. Never thought of running cpanels from the run function. That's great!

When you start the SOFTWARE applet (from Control Panel) than you should be able in install and/or uninstall Windows components.

If you mean the Add/Remove Sofware in the control panel, it doesn't show up. I looked in all the sub-panels to see if it was nested inside one of the bigger categories (like accessories) and it sinply isn't in there. Ah well... Guess I'll just have to wait till spring when I reinstall XP, as I will be upgrading to a dual CPU system. (woohoo!)

Hey wait! Is there somekind of "service" I can turn off? Looking at the Process list I don't recognize anything but maybe it's running as a service?!?

Alright I'm thinking this will work as it worked for MSN Messanger....if you go to c:windowsinfsysoc.inf or the one like that...i can't check now cause im on my Windows ME computer. If you go to that inf file and open it... there was a command in there that had msmmgs=(a whole bunch of sh*t),hide,7 removing the hide and having msmmgs=(a whole bunch of sh*t),,7 made it show the MSN messanger in The windows installed area in the add/remove section. If you look for something in there about access or accessabilities, look for that hide and delete just the word hide! If you have any further misunderstandings just email me at jakeman@socal.rr.com
