Xp pro installed first on one drive, Vista installed later on second drive. Restored Vista image to a larger drive now getting winload.exe missing corrupt error. Can Vista boot pro fix this? Thanks.

No

You need to boot to the Vista DVD and do a startup repair.

Vista does that for some reason along with your BIOS determining which HD to boot to

Yes that's just the way it works. I've restored my Vista partition with a TI image numerous times and every time I did I had to run the Vista "Startup Repair". No need to worry though, as it should work every time.
