This is my first post, so be easy on me. lol
When I start my desktop I get this error message: No physical memory is available at the location required for the windows bootmanager. I download vistabootpro, but I dont see where to change it. I know from reading it is preset to 2gb and I want to max it out to 4gb. Any help would really appreciated.

Hi bama9393 and welcome to PROnetworks. Are you able to start your windows installation at all and what version are you running...32-Bit or 64-Bit?

Has your system ever been able to start correctly with the RAM you are currently using? If so what changes did you make to your system or to your BIOS that led to the failure to start up?

What I did was a besel mod to the processor which changed it from 2.8 to 3.73 ghz. The processor is a intel pentium d 820. I did check the ram and that is also weird. The ram is ddr2 5300, but instead of being 667 it is 333. The ram came stock with the computer and I bought the computer new. The computer is a compaq sr2180nx.

If you've changed your BIOS memory settings like timings and voltages, that could be the reason it's not being read. Is it possible the RAM is fried? Maybe this is a hardware issue?
