after sending my dead 8800gts card back to ebuyer for a replacement i discovered they didnt stock them anymore, so they gave me £205 store credit to buy a replacement, which since i bought my card just after christmas, was a little more than i needed for a new one of the same calabre.
so i was looking for a new one when i came accross this table, comparing the 9800 and the 8800:
so i'm a little confused as to why anywhere still stocks the 8800gts.
so i've found this 9800gtx which costs £133:

However i am also having a problem with my motherboard (asus p5n-e sli) in that the network adapters is having intermittent faults. Every so often it will tell me a network cable has been disconnected, and after trying to repair the connection it tells me that it can;t get a new ip address. If i try to disable and re enable the adapter it brings up a message box that says "connection failed!" (i'm struggling to find a way of explaining this, so if theres anything you need to know/don't understand, just ask)
so unless i find a fix for this problem i'm also going to need a new motherboard, so if anyone can suggest a good overclocker (from ebuyer so i can use my store credit) for less than £100 which is lga 775, and ddr2 compatable i would be grateful.
thanks for your help.
