No luck guys. When i try to insall the progam drivers in XP it come up wth a message saying i dont have the right requirments. What do I do now?

You have the drivers for Vista. You will need to find the drivers for XP

I did give the link for his XP drivers. I think they won't install because the installer sees the drive set to IDE.

That should not matter. If you set them to Sata, XP will not boot. You shoudl be able to install the drivers within XP, reboot, switch abck to Sata adn then XP shoudl come up and run.

I am not sure if they are or not. I just took a quick look at the site and did not read much (I'm in the middle of studying for A+)

No luck! My board isn't on there it only shows Intel boards mine is a asus.

Info from HP Site.

Chipset
Intel G33 Express

Motherboard
Manufacturer: Asus
Motherboard Name: IPIBL-LB
HP/Compaq motherboard name: Benicia-GL8E

Does that help?
