Anyone use password managers? I just considered using one to help safeguard my privacy... my cousin recently had his identity stolen so I thought having long/complicated/different passwords for various sites would help make that safer. Of course, I'd definitely want a password manager to keep track of all that. So, first of all, anyone use one? I found one called PINs which seems to do everything I want but it uses blowfish encryption and I don't know how that compares to AES... I don't want something that uses up much RAM or anything. I just want it to securely manage my passwords.

Also, I was thinking that if I had a ridiculous password for like, my email accounts, that that would just make it annoying or possibly impossible to access my email from a computer other than my own. What do yall generally use for passwords? I was thinking something really complicated for like my online banking and whatnot and maybe simple ones I can remember for my email addresses and things I log into often?

I have about 8 different passwords I use on different sites. The ones that are case sensitive always mess me up. Lately I have tried using ones that have no meaning or relationship to me, but sometimes I then forget it when I just visit that site every 6 months or so. My wife was recently hacked by what she thought was a best friend. E-Mail & OnLine banking. We thought & thought about a new password that she could remember, but NO body else would associate it with her, except me since I helped her.
We used a piece of furniture that reminded her of her grandmother & a date of miniscule importance.

I think we should all use FDICfailedForclosure for banks. Who would guess that? Oh 28 branches of The 1st National Bank of Arizona closed Friday & are being taken over by the FDIC & Mutual of Omaha Bank.

It will be interesting to see others ideas. But don't give a real clues that somebody could hack you!
