I watched it again Thursday night too, and I'm still confused on a few of the "bad guys" - but I saw a lot I missed the first time. Great movie; definitely one to put beneath the tree this Christmas (if it's even out by then).

You can count on that. With LOTS of extras. Look for multiple-disc special editions.

I saw this last Friday night and am STILL still about it. the movie in itself was amazing. it was dark, it was evil, it was insane. It was every fear that people face day in and day out in the real world.
Few movies have had this kind of effect on me, and to have images of the movie pop into my head randomly just speaks even more about how powerful the movie turned out to be. Heath's Joker added to all of this. His insanely maniacle creation of the joker, his inability to leave character, and unfortunately his untimely death that may have stemmed from his true inability to escape the character he was portraying sticks with me.
Will I be seeing it again? definitely.
Does Heath deserve an Oscar? Yes, but not because of his untimely passing.
Will Dark Knight turn into the #1 movie of the entire year? It already has and I can't think of any other movie that might even come close to it.

Thanks Larry. And well said Steve. I find myself thinking about it at various times through the day myself.
And there's just one or two phrases I can't get out of my head that the Joker says, "Let's put a SMILE on that face of yours" or "Why so SERIOUS?"
Creepy and just an incredible job by Heath. Equally his humor was great. "Do I really look like a man with a plan, Harvey? I don't have a plan. The mob has plans, the cops have plans. You know what I am, Harvey? I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do if I caught one. I just *do* things. I'm a wrench in the gears. I *hate* plans."

Wow, what a ride man! I got to see it last night. I can't add much more than what has already been said except for a few moments of comedy, at least in my weird humouristic eyes and without giving anything away. One was the Batcar in one of two modes, 'Idle' and 'Intimidate'! Hmm, come to think of it, I can't reveal the others as it's part of a good chase scene etc.
It's really too bad that the sound was so bad, meaning too loud in the theatre, that a lot of the dialogue was lost to my ears. I hope that Larry is correct in saying, makes sense for a Christmas release, that the DVD will be out that soon. I'll be one of the first to pre-order this one!

No doubt. It's already set to be released as a holiday package. With LOTS of extras.

That chase scene was great, and the moves the Batpod had were enough to make you stand up and go "Oh, now that was awesome."

In the middle of the (big) chase scene (there were a few), I remember saying to myself, "this beats The French Connection."
What's even cooler is that EVERYTHING in those scenes was done in-camera -- no CGI, post-production special effects, green screen, etc. What you saw was just as it happened -- real vehicles, real streets, real crashes, real explosions.
