after reading around it sounds like its warez

its a hacked version of Windows XP, probably comes with a few extra appz ( virii ), and is completely illegal. It just looks as if someone hacked the theme fiels along with some DLL's and made it look like Ubuntu.

no matter what it is, just by searching for it quick and seeing the first site that comes up (Mininova) and reading a few other pages in the search list, I'd definitely say it's hacked in some way and not a legit version of anything.

I'm not sure why you would want to run anything besides windows on NTFS. It's not a very good file system. You would be better off with EXT3, ReiserFS, or XFS as all are better than NTFS really, even if they do have some bugs. Any linux OS is going to be able to read FAT drives. If it's a system where you compile your own kernel, then just remember to include support for it. Ubuntu is likely the simplest linux OS. If you want a Windows look/feel, the Kubuntu would likely be a little better as KDE is more Windows-like than Gnome.

linux can also read NTFS drives, my Gentoo uses NTFS-3G driver to do so.
