Ok now I have the management server setup and it is asking to setup the Security server, which I wasn't ready for yet. LOL
And that means I better get the messaging server box ready too, or else I'll be in the same boat after the Security server is done. (((((-;

By the way, I set the management server up on a spare harddrive I had. I unplugged the harddrive I had my Vista 64 Ultimate setup on in my Q6600 system with 4GB of ram and it took over 3 hours to setup. I wouldn't recommend setting it up on anything less LOL
I find it hard to understand why it took so long since it is Server 2008, which I have setup on a lot slower system with less memory and it took a lot shorter time, weird.

You need to understand that when you are running everyhting that server runs and all the security behind server it is going to run slower. It takes about 6 to 8 minutes to reboot a 2003 server I maintain even though it has 2 gig of ram on a 2GHz processor. But it does boot to a RAID1 system drives and RAID10 data drives.

I wasn't clear on my post; at best it was confusing sorry. I have the first part out of 3 parts or boxes of the Essential Business Server setup, the first part is Windows Server 2008 standard or at least a form of it. I also have setup on another box Windows Server 2008 what you migtht call the full version in this case, because it is not part of the Essential Business Server Suite. The Server 2008 I have loaded that is a separate Server all by itself didn't take half the time to install that the Server 2008 for the Essential Business Server Suite took, that is what I found odd. I didn't mean it takes a long time to boot up, I meant it was odd how long it took to install as compared to how long it took to install Windows Server 2008 on another slower system. Hope that is clearer (-:
