I'm wanting to do this:

It involves two Gateway HD2200 monitors, my Computer, a Nintendo 64, and a Nintendo Wii. If it's possible, I would like it where, I could have, say my computer on one monitor and my Wii on the other, my Wii on one monitor and the N64 on the other, my computer on both, and like that.

What would I need to set this up? I forget what they're called... I have one but it's from 1998. Only composite. Grin

Hmmm... I think they're just called video input selectors but there might be a more specific name.

That, I don't know. Seems like you'd need a selector with 2 outputs and at least 3 inputs... dunno if they make them that way. Might just do some Googling and see what you find.

I think the item you want may be a little too specific for your use to actually create. I have a Pioneer Elite receiver for my home theater that will do video conversion of any analog form to HDMI, but it will only output one digital video signal at a time. It can output a second video signal, but it is analog.

The best solution for you may be to connect your PC to both DVI ports on the monitors, then connect your Wii to one component on one monitor, and your N64 (using a composite to component video converter) to the component on the other monitor. This way you only have to buy the box to convert composite to component and some cables.

So I assume the monitor has a feature allowing me to change inputs on the fly? And what about the audio?

It must have an option to switch between inputs. The audio, I'd assume that if there's component input then there's audio to accompany it as well. But if not, you can route the audio through your computer and play it through the computer's sound output if necessary.

couldn't you just use a TV tuner card connect both monitors to the video card and the tuner card to a video input selector?

Wii and N64 to the VIS and the VIS to the tuner card. then connect both monitors to the Video on the computer. when you turn on the software for the tuner it picks up what ever console you have running, or if you want both consoles on the monitors then you get two tuners, one per console.

But usually with a tuner you'll get lag for stuff like timeshifting.
