Hey any one know of a good quality gaming headset, with microphone for games like Half-Life Deathmatch and CS:S, Preferably 5.1 surround. I've looked at a few but they are all to expensive, I have found the Creative Fatal1ty still very expensive. But I have found a deal on it for $40. Seems quite nice, do you have any experience with it I can't find reviews for it.

Im a believer of 'less is more' theory, when playing I dont like to feel a heavy head set. I like to be able to hear my speakers also, I play with my game chat running through my on board sound, and I use my sound card for the game sounds, music and such... allows me to 'get into the game' more, with out having to sort the chat out from the ambient game noises and such.. I really like the 'free' ones that came with my Battle Field 2 preorder, but when they died I got a ClearChat Style by Logitech it was only $25 and is very light weight and comfortable, and has great sound.

I use the Logitech Precision Gaming Headset that also runs about $25. has great sound, but is a bit larger than Daves offering. I use mine alot at night, when I need to keep the noise levels down. I guess it comes down to preference, great value though either way.
