Well, I have an older computer I no longer need.

Product: HP Pavilion a814x

It has all the original parts: The hard drive, the CD/DVD drives, the keyboard, the mouse, the speakers, the monitor, the power button, etc. Also, it has an Nvidia MX4200 card in it. The drive is completely blank (although I'm considering putting Linux on it, if I can get it to work (I remember I couldn't get Ubuntu to install). However, putting Windows XP on it is still an option).

The only "damage" to it is the fact that the onboard sound chipset is dead (no sound), but that can be fixed by just adding a small soundcard to it.

How much do you think I could sell the entire set for on Ebay?

Cheers. smilenod

Actually, to tell you the truth, you probably wouldn't get much. But, if you donated it to charity (Salvation Army, Cappa, etc) you would normally get the full price you paid back in the day. Obviously, you wouldn't get the tax break until next year though.

Just a suggestion though.

Actually, do you file US taxes? Guess that should have been in there. But no, they don't hand you $700. What they do is give you a receipt for the IRS for $700 and you can claim that on your taxes next year. But, it is basically the only option I could think of for anyone to get the full price of a PC now a days.
