Alright so i bought the AMDx2 5000 BE with a stock fan and trying to OC it, i cant because i need to update my firmware, well GigaByte is no help at all.. so Im leaving it to you, I have the 1.0 version on CPUz ( i have the GA-M55plus-s3g, firmware f5 and created 8/9/06,. the newest one ond is f13, i need that to unlock the multiplier *i think* i tried it off the website i have the bios on my computer, though i try to install and the thing just flashes to black goes to windows and creates a file CW.ERR
WTF Mate???

are you sure the update is meant to run in Windows?
only a couple if bios firmware updates I have seen work in Windonws, most install from a floppy

ya i had to destroy my friends old emachines to get the A: drive, then i had to hunt for a floppy, found one under the bed!!! OMG anyways i flashed my Bios to f13!!! My AMD 5000 BE, stock 2.6Ghz, is unlocked, stable at 3.214Ghz with a stock fan!!!!
